It's GABF, I've even tried a lobster beer and a hot carrot soup beer. Both of which were also memorable.LURE wrote:No way. You tried em?Bean wrote:There were a couple beet beers at GABF this year. They were...something.

Also expensive. $17.00 for a 6.

I tried that beer. I'm not a stout fan at all, but that stuff is goooood! I like spicy hot chocolate and this is a better version of that.
Thanks for the recommendation. And by the way, this is not a brew you're going to drink a lot at one sitting, so the price is no big deal, IMO.

Ha I'm sure. But the beet beer tho, now you can be drunk AND oxygen efficient! Now that's memorable, or maybe actually not...Bean wrote:It's GABF, I've even tried a lobster beer and a hot carrot soup beer. Both of which were also memorable.LURE wrote:No way. Haha! You gotta love AB getting their hat handed to them, and shown to the door!

I agree. Most of their stuff is absolute swill. I was surprised to see in your link that Icehouse was still even a thing. I haven't seen a bottle of that disgusting puke in years, I figured it died around the same time as Red Dog.highpilgrim wrote:Haha! Seems like the times that I need a mountain the most are the times that I can not get to them.
Re: Favorite Beer?
Had this on one of my trips visiting Colorado this past summer. Instantly became one of my favs & have tried the best I could to find it each time I’m back. 7.1% Red Ale

Re: Favorite Beer?
Outer Range in Frisco is turning out some amazing hazy IPAs, on par with Weldwerks on my palate.
The recent "In the Deep Steep" DIPA blew my mind and the "Cake Plastic Trees" birthday cake IPA (lots of lactose, some Betty Crocker mix) offers unparalleled smoothness and mouthfeel.

Re: Favorite Beer?
I recently discovered Pure Hoppiness, a DPA from Alpine Beer Company. It's VERY good, crisp and reminiscent of Pliney. It is not bargain beer however.

Re: Favorite Beer?
My regular four season every day beer the last few years is Great Divide Colette Farm House Ale. Of course I drink many other kinds depending on the season but the Colette is always in the fridge. In fact, I'm drinking one right at the moment. Btw... Great Divide's Hibernation Ale and Chai Yeti have been great brews this holiday season!
