Yes. Traversing that ridge would require ascending Gladstone, and provided he gets down the north side of Mount Wilson safely, the ascent to the Rock of Ages saddle (where he'll likely turn off for Wilson Peak) is not difficult.

Looks like the SPOT temporarily malfunctioned given the time lapse as it didn't register him being on the El-D summit.

Just hit Mt. Wilson's summit!

He's moving faster than the ten minute interval on the tracking function. The track is not following his route closely as a result.

I was wondering about that, too. It didn't look like #44 was from the summit of ED - and no others are as close. But I agree: it looks like there was a malfunction in the tracking. Given that #43 was 55 minutes before #44, he must've summited ED in between those two.

Of course the train will set it so that his total basin time will be 2:45 faster than CD's but it does appear he is climbing faster as well.
Where is that spreadsheet update?! ;) j/k
I'll post it, happily. Cant do it until tomorrow though. Hang tight.

Just got an e-mail from Bill, who is currently in Telluride, says he is leaving now to go to the trailhead to cook Homie some dinner before he arrives. As confirmed recently by several posters, Bill says that he is getting hammered with rain up there, but still moving well.

He also posted a new blog update:

So he did the El D-Wilson traverse in less than an hour, in heavy rain? Wow.

I had the exact same thought. Wow.
This is amazing to watch.
Go Homie!
