I still can't quite believe this is over, but like others have said, best to not risk engery and there comes a point when it's just enough. You've made us all proud Homie, and it's been awesome to follow along on this thread, as well as the wonderful comments from everyone on this board. It's been exciting just debating what might happen next!

Those mountains aren't going anywhere. They'll be there for the next time.

It has to be disappointing for Homie (and crew), but it was just an amazing, mind-boggling run. Congratulations. =D> =D> =D>

Desire? Dedication? Drive? Planning? Effort? Fortitude? Sacrifice? You put that -- and so much more -- on display. Very, very well done!

Homie, you're still larger than life.

It's been a tough week in the mountains and for a lot of people on this board, but you were a huge bright spot and the timing of your adventure couldn't have been better.

Thanks to you and your crew for the thrill.

Homie has definitely earned my respect and admiration this week, but also Cave Dog. What an amazing record that still stands! There's a reason why his record has gone nearly 12 yrs without being seriously challenged till now. I hope Homie's efforts will inspire others to take a shot at the record soon.

What an incredible run. Homie and Bill - you made us all proud. For some of us, who hiked those peaks in perfect conditions, under clear skies, with lots of rest, and still were challenged by elevation, distance, difficulty, navigation issues - this was amazing and humbling to watch.
Please rest and recuperate. Congratulations!!! =D>

P.S. Thank you for letting us tag along on your journey.

Amazing. Incredible. Congratulations on your effort. You are an inspiration.
You can touch the void, just don't fall into it.

Wow. Just wow. This is amazing, no matter how it ended. Standing ovation from the midwest Homie.
