Looks like he should do this thing again in November!

His ascents during the attempt are in there now

The last time I set my alarm early for days on end to get up and watch someone I do not know do something I cannot fathom was NEVER.

Words cannot do this experience justice. Throughout I kept thinking, when have I felt like this before? Athletes like Jerry Rice and Michael Jordan came to mind...

Homie, thank you from the bottom of my heart. 14ers.com community, you give me hope in humanity. Cave Dog, your humble and encouraging post set fire to this thread.

More than one of us in Oregon watching this closely...

You can add Oregon too. I hadn't updated my location so it still showed Denver.

Granted they are trained for different sports, but neither Jerry Rice nor Michael Jordan in the prime of their careers could accomplish what Mr. Prater has.

This has been the most exciting week of posts I have ever read. Congratulations on an awesome adventure that I cannot comprehend. Truly amazing to do those peaks that fast. I would be honored to attend a celebration party just to shake your hand. Hope you have a fast recovery and realize what you just did. Enjoy yourself, Tom

Athletes like Cave Dog and Andrew Hamilton and the Ricks (Trujillo and Denesik) come to mind. Jerry Rice and Michael Jordan would have folded like origami in an endeavor like this, especially after they learned there is no prize money involved.

All hail the unpaid athletes!!!! =D> =D> =D>
