Just to confirm the good news. We were a party of about eight people who met at 5:00 A.M. this morning. The dog was in almost the exact location that Scott and his wife saw her in on Sat. Most of the crew is probably still at Tommy Knockers having a beer so raise a glass to celebrate the good news and an awesome effort by all involved, particularly Alex and Chase who did a fantastic job of carrying the big girl most of the way back up Bierstadt, those boys have some legs on them! I will let others fill in the details but the girl is in good spirits and safe.

This is awesome! Thanks to all involved in helping this poor dog get down safely and glad you all are safe as well. Wish I could have helped but I'm just not experienced enough on 14ers yet to be of any assistance.

Again great job to everyone who searched and awesome job by the team this morning that found and evacuated the dog. Truly a humbling series of events.

Hell of an effort to the rescue group!!!! I've been following this thread but didn't want to comment until the good news was confirmed.

Incredible news and, as much as some tried to derail the conversation, this outcome is absolutely what makes 14ers.com special.

In line with Papillon's "Buy Me a Modus" button idea, I wish we could real-time pitch in on that Tommy Knockers tab.
"Athletes express themselves physically, this is their art. As an athlete, exhausting oneself on the field or or on the track or on the trail or on the mountain brings calm and satisfaction. Thrashing about… our expression." - Steve Gleason

It's a good choice in a situation like this - it's good form to let those directly involved tell the story and decide what details they want to release on a public forum.

Has anyone thought to contact the local news to see if they would be interested in doing a story on this? Truly amazing, fantastic job to all that were involved!

Great job to everyone involved! When this thread first started, I figured there wasn't much that could be done and nature would sadly just have to take its course.
I'm so glad you all proved me wrong!

I already got a PM from someone at 9news....told them I had nothing to do with the rescue. They are probably trying to contact others who have details.
