In no way, shape or form does my quote above compare Homies accomplishments to those of Jerry, Michael, or anyone for that matter. My post was simply reflecting on the fact that I haven't FELT (keyword) like this since watching those two athletes accomplish great things. I'm not sure how it got misconstrued as a comparison of achievements but feel like I should explain seeing the response it generated from a few of you.

Homie, thank you again for putting your best out there. I'm still coming down...

This Homie dude is kinda a big deal if you hadn't noticed yet.

I bet you 5 bucks we can break the 2,000 post margin.

Even if the record stands to be "Homied" another day, we can at least kick the old # of posts record on here in honor of Homie!!

Who's with me?

Ohh. I bet he's having an IPA, now we can speculate whats for breakfast for him. I bet the Michael Phelps diet will have nothing on him the next few days.

Awesome buddy. Simply awesome. Cave Dog's feat was truly staggering, but you went for it with your eyes wide open and gave it hell.

While no where near many people's level, this thread motivated me to run my first 10k tonight. Thanks Homie!

I bet there's a whole bunch of people who just decided to begin training for an attempt on the record next year. There could be a dozen or more. I propose they all line up at the same starting line and someone fires a starting pistol and we get to watch them all at once!

Homie, I too wanted to thank you for sharing the last week of your life with us. I have followed in awe of your efforts. You provided a welcome escape from the daily grind to live through you.

You have inspired me to explore what is attainable through focus, determination, and sheer will. I will think of you and push harder through my next obstacle in the mountains as a result.

You have my UTMOST admiration!

Homie,

Wow... just WOW! Way to get out there and mess those 41 piles of rocks up! I hope that in the next few days as you decompress and reflect, your journey continues and you can apply an even sweeter, richer version of the attributes you showed all of us to your wife and kids. Strength, Character, Patience, Persistence, Fortitude, Hope, Perseverance... Thanks for letting us hop onto your back so to speak and run with you!
