Maybe this provides additional context, I filmed this traverse in 2020 with limited beta going in. Downclimbing the knife edge was sketchiest part for me, something that can be avoided with better beta. Skipped the 5.7 crack and opted for the maybe 5.5ish broken face to the right.

I love talking about Rabbit Ridge! I think it’s still faster to go low for Nolan’s, especially when you’re in the shape that those athletes are. Additionally it is often dark by the time you hit Columbia/Harvard if going S-N. Daylight is nice for that kinda stuff. Prior to his 2022 finish I asked Rob Barlow if he was going high or low. Rob said he could do the low traverse in 2 hours compared to 2.5 on the high. The first time I did the high traverse it took me 3 hours, second time we would have been about 2.5 but bailed off of the ridge post crux to dodge weather. I think they’re probably pretty comparable in speed with the low being a touch faster.
