"Gen x doesn't really exist"? That is probably just our 'tude that sucks, here is what Tom Waits (not X-er himself) had to say about it:
"Apparently the highest compliment our culture grants artists nowadays is to be in an ad -- ideally naked and purring on the hood of a new car. I have adamantly and repeatedly refused this dubious honor."

...and not a single one of these will ever get near a dirt road. Owners just want to look cool driving down I-25.

And that they will! Better yet. Tooling around LoDo or bar-hopping at popular tourist "mountain" towns. Style, baby.

it's hard to tell, but I'm guess it won't be long enough to sleep in the back?

Re: New Ford Bronco
I’m really digging it. I’ve yet to own anything without a clutch pedal in my 27 years of driving, so glad to see the 7 speed manual. I generally have only owned Honda’s and Mazda’s because I like vehicles that don’t break much and aren’t expensive to maintain, but I may be looking at one of these in 2024 when some 3 year leases are up. I can’t stomach the depreciation of a brand new car.
My last 2 company vehicles have been Ford Fusions, and they held up really well. Had a 2010 that went to 110,000 miles only needing 1 repair, current Fusion is a 2016, it’s got 111k miles and has never been in the shop. Anecdotal, but modern Fords seem to be well built.

Re: New Ford Bronco
I wish Ford hadn't screwed up so badly on the Ranger. I'd love to replace my 1996 Ranger with a new one, but they suck. At least it looks like they got the Bronco right. Maybe they will roll out a truck version down the road a la the Gladiator, not holding my breath on that one though.

I think you mean GX460, and in other markets, you know what they're called? Land Cruiser Prado. Sure, they're not a 80/100/200 series Cruiser, but they're not a 4Runner or FJ Cruiser either.Conor wrote: ↑Wed Jul 15, 2020 6:43 am The FJ cruiser is nothing short of trash - no real 4th door, 3 windshield wipers and small drive train bits. Although, Toyota schtick is way underpowered engines and overbuilt drivetrains, so I doubt they hung the FJ cruiser out there like that. I'm as big of toyota fan boy as any, especially land cruisers. When FJ cruiser drivers try to wave I just hang my nose up in the air as high as I can. Just like the LX460, the FJ is not a real landcruiser.
