This is one view of Uncompahgre I had often hoped to get someday. Thanks for the fine effort beating me to it. Great TR also.
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatever state I am, therewith to be content - Paul the Apostle.
Like it or not, I am a slow driver. Putt ... putt ... putt ...
Good day.
Took this sunrise shot a week ago while hiking up Stewart in the San Juans. I was surprised how well my phone handled the dynamic range. This is basically right out of the camera.

This photo of Whitehouse Mountain was an exercise in executing a shot as quickly as possible. Bertina and I had just returned from a hike up to the Crystal Mill, and we were driving past Beaver Lake as the clouds to the west began to explode into a blinding pink. I quickly pulled into the parking area, jumped out of my car, and grabbed my camera and tripod to try to catch the light before it disappeared. 'Grace under pressure' is a term that I've always aspired to but have never been able to achieve. I sounded more like the dad fighting the furnace in A Christmas Story than anything.
