too exciting not to watch, seems like he is still moving really fast. Hoping the sleep monster stays away.

Absolutely...been watching since his first post. Andrew is incredible. Not to mention is all-star team and family. Wow. I am in awe. So very inspiring as well. Keep it up, Andrew!

During the recent half hour from 10:20 am to 10:50 am, BAD DAD gained 1,100 feet. A 2,200 vert ft/hr pace

On what has to be a partially snowy scree slope...

On day 6..

Love it. Hopefully he's getting some sun jollies and thinking about "only" having to climb ~1,000 vert feet to top out Harvard.

[UPDATE: In the next 10 minutes (to 11 am), another 391' vertical....an even faster ~2,340 vft/hr pace! He clearly wants that ridgeline.]

I logged in for the first time in a long time (a year or more!) and found this thread around lunchtime yesterday. I've been checking the PLB feed and the thread every 30 minutes or so since then. I feel like a lazy POS watching this at work... motivation is at an all time low in the office today.

I may be at work, but I'm not missing this! My daughters who don't even hike are asking me how he's doing! Awesome!

Based on my own PR up Shadow Canyon, his pace upwards is about half of what I have been able to do, on an absolutely perfect day, on fresh legs, much lower down, with the express goal of gunning it to the top. That's nothing but impressive for Andrew. I don't think it's literally possible for anyone to go much faster. This guy's the everyday man's dude!

Thinking ahead -- what are the conditions of the top end of Missouri Gulch? I have to think there's still a lot of snow in there. I can't imagine Andrew wants to climb the rotten East ridge of Missouri, so I'm curious to see where he decides to drop post-Belford and where he reascends Missouri

I told the folks at work in our stand-up this morning, and now everyone's watching the PLB feed. It's definitely inspiring, even for folks who don't bag peaks.
