I bet it lasts at least five years and goes 811 posts at minimum.
It might even lose track and switch to users' top five bands and/or musicians of all time after a few hundred posts.

And may devolve into a thread of proposals about gneiss rice patties and nothing else, really.

thank you myfeetrock
i feel you helped realign this thread
so here is the geologic marvel. I saw it on the ground like in this first shot - and i thought "that looks like a rainbow on a postcard" so i grabbed it.

but that layering actually runs right through it

and i like that the cut is along a 90 degree angle too

Re: Thread ideas that didn't make the cut
somehow i missed that this thread was seeing action!
those ideas mainly don't make the cut - so well played.
Here's an idea that maybe does??
Stairs to the top of Devilhead are open again! I thought that was perma-closure? and ever so lame too. sort of ruined it.
I got to devilshead last week for first time in six years last week! I used to go once a year - but was diverted by hitting up other rampart stuff instead. which was cool to look out over all that.
plus i found a new rock maneuver to get over from the top towards that chickenhead ranch area? how did i not know about chickenhead ranch before?
