I, for one, will never call him Doctor.

How dare you take the words right out of his mouth!ajkagy wrote:sounds like the 14ers thing was something to bolster his resume, gain marketing appeal/attention and increase his "speaking" worth...
From: https://www.espeakers.com/marketplace/s ... -Kedrowski in his own words (note errors and shifts between 1st and 3rd person) much like his Wikipedia page which he self-edits as ChrisJones25
About Jon Kedrowski
I'll inspire you to "Climb Your Own Everest" through amazing stories of facing adversity on big mountains and in real life!
Jon Kedrowski is a High Altitude Mountain Guide, and Big Mountain Skier. Over the past decade he has climbed mountains ranging from Colorado's 14,000' Peaks to Mount Everest. In many of his adventures, there have been tragedies. In many situations, the team faced overwhelming odds but still reached goals of making it to the top. In some circumstances, High-altitude expeditions, daring ski descents, and harrowing rescues face rapidly changing conditions, limited resources and uncertain team dynamics – just like today's fast-paced business world.
By examining some exhilarating mountain rescues that Jon and his teammates endured in Colorado, Alaska, and on Mt. Everest, Jon facilitates a unique, interactive leadership presentation on: Developing resilient leadership skills, promoting engaged teamwork, and, adapting to change while reaching your goals. Dr. Kedrowski will use his personal experiences of surviving two of the worst tragedies in the history of Mt. Everest. In fact in 2015, he witnessed the worst tragedy in the History of Mount Everest when 20 climbers were killed after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal. Jon not only survived the Avalanche in basecamp, but came away with valuable lessons about turning failure into success. [for $2,500-$6,000 per engagement]
...
Also, training and preparation for the biggest mountains in the world are important. Dr Jon Kedrowski did many projects in the mountains to prepare himself for the rigors of 8000m peaks. "Smaller goals often lead to making larger goals attainable and more realistic." -Says Kedrowski.
In 2011, Jon became the first person to spend the night on the summit of Colorado's 58 peaks over 14,000'. It was a project involving the ultimate levels of adversity, teamwork, perseverance, and endurance. Setting goals and achieving the feats and never giving up on them was key to making it happen and also writing the 2012 book "Sleeping on the Summits: Colorado 14er High Bivys.
in 2013 Kedrowski also survived an expedition to an 8000m peak called Gasherbrum II in Pakistan. A nearby basecamp was attacked by the Taliban and many were executed. Jon decided to stay and still had a chance to ski on the 13th highest mountain in the world. [Terrorists be damned, he's skiing and if SAR has to bail him out, again..., he can $pin it into another "exhilarating mountain rescues that Jon and his teammates endured"]
Dr. Jon will inspire you to "Climb Your Own Everest" through amazing stories of facing adversity on big mountains and in real life! He has spoken to all ages and organizations ranging from schools, universities, clubs, corporations, private, and public.[but not to mountaineers on 14ers.com, rather would prefer to delete their comments from his Instagram page, then rant against them, then remove the page, then make his account private.]

it's lot like the people who started questioning Lance Armstrong before he was outed to the mainstream.. lots of similarities to this saga..

If someone could establish Dr. Jon was doping, that would make me feel a lot better about myself.

LOL...
I know what you mean.. but since I have to work 40 hours a week, I don't hold myself to that standard.
As far as Armstrong saga went on cycling forums that are sort of similar to 14ers.com, there were a lot of similarities: people would question his "accomplishments" through social media, as has happened here, and there was a very similar dismissal of questions/concerns by simply labeling those who brought them up as "haters", among other things.
Of course, there was a much larger Public Relations machine at work that was able to deceive a huge number of casual fans.
Edit: personality aside, skiing this # of peaks is quite an accomplishment.
