Where can one car camp for Longs Peak after the campgrounds close on Sept 5th?
I just emailed them and got this verified.
If no car camping options, what is the nearest motel?

Depends what you consider "car camping". I've slept in the back of my truck at the TH before, but this isn't technically allowed. Otherwise there are car camping options along the Pierson Park Road.

I've slept in my car at the St Vrain Mountain TH near Allenspark on a weekend without issue. Not super close, but pretty close.

Have you checked to see if the Meeker Park Overflow CG is still open? I camped there last Sept about a week after Labor Day.

Haven't checked that one, will do so. I assumed it would have the same close date...but then there's the whole, "assume" saying...something about making an "ass" out of "me"...which I do on occasion....

I stayed at a place in Allenspark for a very reasonable amount.
This was a long time ago though.
Might be able to car camp at twin sisters trailhead.
Wild basin is close, but do not know much about thier restrictions.

Just sleep at the trailhead, there will be 10-15 others doing the same thing….
(I’ve slept there half a dozen times with no issue)
