North Halfmoon Creek Trailhead

Post by Geckser »

What is the status of the North Halfmoon Creek Trailhead this time of year? Has anyone been up there? Is it gated? Looking to ski and would love to drive.

Pretty reliably, I have been able to get to the road split where you can take the 110.3A road south to do French/Casco starting around now. On this website, it's tagged "Halfmoon Creek TH". Beyond that intersection to the 4x4 N Halfmoon TH, the road is pretty rough and has had drifts blocking access until more like memorial day timeframe
I thought, I taught, I wrought

I was up there yesterday. The gate is open and the road is dry all the way to the split for French/Casco, which is only like 1/2 mile below the N Halfmoon TH. Can't speak for what's past that but I did see an ATV and a truck that drove past me.
