Condition Update

Hiked it in the afternoon. Dry, summer conditions. Came up Mosquito Pass Road from the east. Road was dry to London's ridge. Went up in a Ford Ranger with good clearance and tires. Could not have made it in my Jeep Liberty. Were a few small boulders on the road, but was able to squeeze by.

9/18/11. Was very windy on the ridge. Partial snow coverage above about 13,000'. Didn't need either microspikes or gaiters, but good boots were helpful, as well as trekking poles for extra traction against the wind gusts.
