I sure hope he can squeeze in some food - and a nap - before the next one... I'm getting tired just watching this. Where is the next one, anyway? Lake City? Maybe he'll get a reprieve from the rain there today.

Can't help but notice how this only serves to emphasize how incredible the current record is...

Looks like he made it down from Sneffels within 24 hours of starting! Get after it Homie! He is such a humble guy and I have a lot of respect for him. This winter, he beat me on Castle by about 4 hours, although he did have skis!

Has he not slept yet? I went to bed thinking about this and to know he has continued forward is \:D/ unbelievable. Does anyone have an update on what is going on today?

I would imagine he's heading over to Wetterhorn/Uncompahgre now, then heading to the Sunshine/Redcloud/Handies group - then finishing the San Juans with San Luis as he heads east to the Sangres. But that's just my speculation......this guy is an animal.

looks like he's actually going for the Handies group now. He's coming up south of Tower Mountain, just SE of Handies

I'm truly in awe of this effort. I was forced to sleep all night after being fatigued from following along yesterday. Sending out positive vibes again today!

Looks like he is doing Handies via American Basin. What threw me at first was he overshot the TH. But then I remembered he would have to descend the road a bit to get 3000’

Handies: American Basin TH- we did this last year and we started low to get 3,000'. It took us almost exactly 2 hours to summit and I ran back down in 70 minutes (which is not that fast, I'll admit). I'm guessing Homie will do something faster. One question I had is why not return via Grizzly Gulch? Maybe it's essential he gets some rest before he starts on the tiresome Sunshine/Redcloud combo.

I'm guessing from what CD did, that John Prater will run up the E slopes of Sunshine, over to Redcloud and down the standard trail. The standard trail down from Redcloud is very runnable and should be in good shape this time of year, with no snowdrifts or ice on it.

Sippin' coffee, watching Homie and feeling absolutely slothful. Cheers headed your way!

Homie is the most humble and head-strong person that I know. His abilities in the mtns are simply A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! He's an inspiration for all and if anyone can pull this off, its him.
Your biggest challenge isn't someone else. It's the ache in your lungs and the burning in your legs, and the voice inside you that yells, "CAN'T", but you don't listen. You just push harder. And then you hear the voice whisper, "can." And you discover that the person you thought you were is no match for the one you really are.
