I'm concerned about the amount of time spent at the TH.

Hopefully he is OK.

Something may not be right. Yale seemed to take 90-120 minutes longer than his previous pace would imply. Also, the last four SPOT waypoints (about 35 minutes worth) are all clustered near the trailhead. Putting it altogether suggests there might be a problem. :(

I'm quite concerned. 7.5 hours RT to do Yale, that won't work to get two more peaks today. In addition, instead of roaring out of there they have been at the TH for at least 30 minutes (Spot seems to be transmitting every 10 min now). I hope that Homie is OK and this isn't the end of the line. I will be watching for updates closely the next hour or two to see what happens next.

That may be my favorite post in this thread so far.

Assuming things are still a go and they plan on taking it "easy" How much aid can they work out for HC? You do descend below 11k on East Cross Creek... what can they finagle to make that easier on him? Heck, carry the guy over Halfmoon Pass and down to the creek and then let him head up on his own?

Just reading the latest entry on the blog and the last day or two, I question whether he will physically be able to continue regardless of his desire. At some point your body simply says NO.

Homie, hope all is well! If God's still taking calls from me, there are prayers headed your way.

if he needs to make the responsible decision not to continue, i hope he feels comfortable to make that decision and not pressured to continue irresponsibly. he doesn't need to take another step to have impressed and entertained the hell out of me.

Agreed 100%. I'm sure that he didn't start this quest in order to impress me, but he's certainly done that (whether he continues or not). No one here wants to see him suffer a major injury because of fatigue.
