They left his Spot on so I might just watch him drive on back to Denver just cause I can't quit following him.

A very incredible week indeed. I think Homie has inspired all us to look inside and wonder what we, ourselves, are capable of too. Absolutely amazing.

Homie, it is almost inconceivable the level of training and fitness, the mountaineering skill, and especially the mental toughness that is required to even attempt something this difficult. Your achievement of summitting 41 14ers in a single week, including many serious technical traverses, day and night, with little sleep, sometimes dangerous weather conditions, and even some debilitating injuries is more than amazing! You are an inspiration to climbers everywhere who are working to achieve their own personal climbing goals, no matter how modest in comparison.

Also, the "Crestones Story" in your blog was one of the most memorable blog postings I have ever read. Climb on, Homie!

Finally, a shout out to your crew who did a fantastic job supporting you during this remarkable quest!

Simply awesome achievement regardless! I'm looking forward to the next attempt.

And thanks so much for bringing back some excitement and positive energy to this Forum!

For seven magic days, you made us think about what might be possible for us. You helped us realize what we might be capable of as we push ourselves to become our best selves. You are not the Colorado 14er record holder--better, you are an inspiration to all who know you.
This sums up my thoughts better than I could ever articulate them myself.

For every mountain I climb in the future, when I get to a point where my legs and lungs are burning, I'm going to think about this past week and what John must have gone through.

I'll remember this week for a long time, and I'm hoping that we will see a book come out of it. Mad props to Homie, his entire support team, and to Cave Dog (who, after all, made this week possible to begin with  ). That's a beast of a record!

Homie,
Congratulations on what you did accomplish. Truly amazing. I've been following the last week and continue to be stunned at what a human (or super human) can acomplish. Finish or not, you have my admiration. As I'm climbing, hopefully 3 peaks, over the long weekend, when I want to wuss out because its too hard, or I'm too tired, I'll think of you and what you have done the last week, and get my butt up that mountain.
Rest, eat, and heal....and as someone said before, the mountains don't go anywhere.
Thank you for your inspiration!!!

A lot more of my thoughts later, but thanks for everyone for now.
Thanks, Bill, John, and everyone involved for the opportunity to be a part of your journey! Here's to the next one! =D>

Fantastic work, Homie! So many of us have been glued to our screens, in awe of your pace and determination. From the Crestones epic, to the foot problem and then a rebound which made you look invincible! What a fun an interesting week.

When it seems there are constant, polarized debates about everything, it's great to have a topic where so many people are positive and united. Good stuff

Ditto to what everyone else is saying.

The joy is in the challenge and the journey. Thank you for letting us tag along with yours. This was just awesome.

I can only imagine how hilarious and shocking it will be to read through this forum for you someday, if you ever take the time. Cheers!
