Congrats to you, Homie, for the adventure you have been on. The journey has been unbelievable to follow. I cannot imagine the emotions and thoughts going through your head, but your decision making is spot on because tonight you get to kiss your wife and two children goodnight. Thank you for allowing us to witness the past week. =D>

Looks like he should do this thing again in November!

I'll echo what others have said: I'll always think of Homie when I'm out climbing, and when those slogs come along and I'm tempted to give in, I'll remember this past week and hopefully be able to dig down deeper. That's an incredible gift you've given us, Homie, and it's probably one you never really meant to give us!
From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!!! I'm so sad to see this end, but so glad you made a wise decision. Go slam a burrito and some beer, and take about a 3 day nap!

John "Homie" - Congrats! and thank you for sharing this amazing journey with us! I was hoping you would set a new record, but I'm also very glad it ended on a high note, you're returning home safely!

It was fun to follow this thread the whole week it lasted. Thanks for sharing Homie and congratulations on your accomplishment, 41 peaks in a week! Well done!

This has been fun to watch. Thanks, Homie.

By my calculations, those 41 14ers would put you in the 88th percentile of all the peak checklists on this site, in one week. Wow.

This has been like the Super Bowl/World Series/World Cup for 14ers fans. Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen! I doubt that Homie will ever have to buy a beer as long as there are 14ers.com members around.

I visit this site pretty much every day. But I visited it more times on this thread than in all the years I have been a member...combined. Riveting. I was sure I was going to trip a DOS alarm at work.

You have my respect Homie - and I have never even met you.

What a week and what an effort. I can't add much, but will offer up my own thank you to John "Homie" Prater for the inspiration. Glad to see a safe end to an incredible journey.
