Hey everyone. Thanks so much for your support and kind words, you all are making this adventure so much more amazing. We are headed down now to the princeton hot springs to meet the crew, and from there meet up with Andrew. The car is totaled unfortunately, but James is right, that won't stop us and our commitment to Andrew. We do have an amazing team that just works so well and hard together and supports each other through literally everything. Ill post on his site a bit later.

Great to hear from you, Andrea. Sounds like a pretty rough day! Unfortunately you won't get much time at the hot springs, I fear. Andrew is absolutely wrecking the Antero - Tabeguache traverse; it looks like he'll shave about an hour (edit: 38 minutes) off of the projected 3:45 split (going in the opposite direction).

Princeton from the radio towers took me from 9:00am to 3:00pm yesterday (with a 30 minute break on the summit) can't wait to be humiliated a few hours from now while he does it in the dark!

Do you think the glissade chance is why he reversed direction on this group?

Re: 2014 14er Speed Record Attempt
I was actually wondering if he glissaded the Angel. His waypoints came in on either end, so any increase in speed didn't register.

Re: 2014 14er Speed Record Attempt
The speeds on the two waypoints on either end of the Angel show 2.5 mph, but the next one down is only 0.6. Hopefully he didn't lose back the glissade advantage by having to posthole for the next mile.
