Wow! Awesome accomplishment! I'm shooting for 3 years to get my 14ers done--less than ten days is insane (in a great way)! And an ascent of Longs in sketchy conditions to top it off at the end. The only thing I might compare it to in my personal experience was crewing for a guy (Dex Tooke) who completed the Race Across America (RAAM) back in 2011...an adventure that took everyone, from athlete to crew, right to the mental and physical edge. From those 12 days, I understand the extremely high level of fitness and knowledge, as well as the meticulous planning and behind-the-scenes crew support, required for such efforts to be successful. A HUGE congrats to Andrew and his support crew for a landmark accomplishment! (And thanks for the GPS track here on 14ers dot com--wonderful idea!)

Congratulations Andrew on your amazing accomplishment. Congratulations to your entire team as well. Their support of your efforts was as inspiring as your trek.

To me, following these last 9 days and internet-witnessing this achievement was more gratifying because the record is still held by an "everyman", albeit a super-human everyman. Professional goals or sponsorship didn't get Andrew through the gauntlet of 58 peaks, just his determination to chase his dream along with the support of family and friends. Gives us ordinary hikers something to contemplate while we plod our way up the hills.

To Andrew and those that came before in this endeavor and the crew and volunteers, thank you so much for your generosity in sharing your personal journeys. I admire you, your support team, volunteers, and this forum for the inspiration and sense of brotherhood afforded to untold thousands over the past ten days. And there is no other place on earth like Colorado to make your dreams come true! What a privilege to experience it all. A heartfelt “thank you” again.

What a truly amazing and impressive accomplishment. The grace and humility of Cave Dog is also very admirable. It all has been humbling and inspirational to follow.
