It sure is efficient when you don't follow the unofficial rules of skiers past. There are so many question marks within his project that he just glosses over.

I thought this one had been put to bed. But then, after reading the link snowalien posted, it certainly looks to me like he's claiming to have skied all the 14ers faster than anyone else. It's a bummer too because I think he talked himself out of doing the honorable thing in favor of more self aggrandizement. I'm no great 14er skier but it makes me sad to see the extraordinary accomplishments of the folks who skied them before him diminished by his claims.

Hah! My sorry HC ski video from two days later has more youtube views than his even sorrier HC ski video. So there's that.

He has updated his 14erskirecord (i.e. a "record" of 14er skiing) page with more "details" regarding South Maroon and Pyramid, but still no real photos or explanation of Pyramid or Capitol.

Perhaps he noticed that there was no longer a $hitstorm raging here and figured he should get some more free publicity...

Natalie,

Please don't tell me you subscribe to this joker's "path to greatness" newsletter? You are better than that :) I wish I could just stop hearing of this guy's name and all of his "greatness" and "amazing accomplishments" splattered all over 14ers (online and on physical summits via business cards) as well as in our local papers about every few weeks. We may need to move to Telluride sooner than later if the Vail Valley keeps publicizing his ego.

Just a thought...could be some pretty interesting journalism would be if one of the writers in this community (Susan, Jeff...?) wrote up an expose article about JK's claims and exaggerations and got it published in the DP or some other major outlet.

It would be more publicity for JK (sort of), BUT a way to truly balance things out instead of people getting into Wiki wars with his Wiki-alias?

"I get scared sometimes—lots of times—but it's not bad. You know? I feel close to myself. When I'm out there at night, I feel close to my own body, I can feel my blood moving, my skin and my fingernails, everything, it's like I'm full of electricity and I'm glowing in the dark—I'm on fire almost—I'm burning away into nothing—but it doesn't matter because I know exactly who I am." from The Things They Carried

I previously said a walk of atonement may be necessary and now it most certainly is  may need to find a new shame nun though

Didn't he ski Maroon with both those guys?

The plot sickens.

He just deleted a bunch of our comments on his FB page, including comments from Ted and other ski finishers. It's clear he doesn't care what the ski mountaineering community thinks. I predict he goes down in flames
