His Instagram account says he "skied them all too". I got a screenshot on my iPhone, just in case.

Whoa. To JK, all I can say is this.

Image
"And this might get me in trouble, but ski mountaineering. I don't know why. You all seem like great people, and I'm sure it's just envy on my part. But there's just something annoying about planning a climb, getting in shape, and all the buildup that goes into dragging myself up a couloir to finally reach the top, and then getting on here and seeing somebody basically say, "Now watch me ski this with nary a mention of how I even got up here." You all make me sick "

Not that this pertains to the current discussion, but JK did La Plata via Ellingwood Ridge in about 7 hours earlier today.

My point of posting is that he obviously is accomplished and personally, I wish he would publicize his accomplishments accurately with accountability and I believe he would receive the recognition that is desired.

Is this news? 4 hours slower than the fast folks. I'm sure he can find a way to turn it into a record though...

Well, in addition to Instagram, he has now blocked me on Facebook for asking about his claims. Snapchat?

After skiing with Chris and Ted, he turns around and does this? What a complete a-hole.

I thought the same thing. Dishonest and disrespectful. If he keeps this up he will never earn respect from anyone worth a damn in mountaineering, just his book purchasers.

Agreed––being from Vail, I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt––but I responded to Mahone/Davenport's thread on Twitter, and suggested JK should come clean, especially after Mahone and Davenport went with him on N Maroon.

In less than 5 minutes, JK had unfriended me on Facebook and blocked me.

Didn't he ski Maroon with both those guys?
Yeah, first they ski with him to give the dude some credibility (by that point a lot of us already questioned a bunch of his descents ), then apparently made up their minds.
