That's a very tasty brew. Have not been to the shops around here for a couple of weeks, but I'm pretty sure it won't be around.
Cheers!

Colorado hasn't historically been a state in which they distribute their beer. Which needs to CHANGE.Shaolin wrote:That's a very tasty brew. Have not been to the shops around here for a couple of weeks, but I'm pretty sure it won't be around.

“There should be enough Hopslam to spread through our entire distribution network (pretty much the entire state, even into the mountains and down into the western slope),” said André DiMattia, of Crooked Stave Artisans.

Re: Favorite Beer?
If you're in Denver - Pearl Wine Company in Platt Park has a bunch of Hopslam. Wasn't officially on the shelves yet but was about to be. Picked up a 12 of Hopslam and a 12 of Two Hearted today. Looked like they had a fair amount of inventory.
They also got a bunch of The Oracle in the last shipment, with no limit to purchase, that was awesome. One of my favorite double IPAs.

Re: Favorite Beer?
You can thank Chad from Crooked Stave for bringing Bells and so many other legendary beers/breweries to Colorado.
Since opening his distro biz (Crooked Stave Artisans, CSA) he has done amazing things, like securing the legendary Shelton bros account, which distros Belgian whales like Cantillon and 3 Fonteinen etc...
After bringing on André DiMattia as a beer buyer, a legend in his own right, CSA has grown by leaps and bounds.

The caliber of beer that these guys are bringing into this state is unprecedented. They have their hand on the pulse of the bleeding edge of the beer world.
If your local bottle shop isn't using CSA as a distributor, you are probably missing out on some amazing beer.

Re: Favorite Beer?
Have lived in Michigan most of my life (now in AZ). Bells beer is based in Kalamazoo, MI and started in the early or mid-80s. Anyway one day about 15 or 20 years ago I tried 2 Hearted on a lark as it has just got introduced at the local party store. That got me hooked on craft beer, which as we all know has grown exponentially. I like to say that I liked IPA's before long before it was cool. While I have a lot of favorites out of the now uncountable craft brews, 2 Hearted is still one of the very best and finds it's way into my fridge at least every other month, if not more. Saw it last night on tap at a local pub here in AZ, it's at the local Fry's grocery, etc. - pretty available now. Just as Sam Adams and somewhat Killian's made craft brew in general popular, 2 Hearted is really the grandfather of IPA's, and still one of the best.
I look up to the mountains - does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! Psalm 121:1-2

Re: Favorite Beer?
Gotta love the Crank Yanker, but I can't get it in Ohio. I only get to Eddyline every couple years, but whenever I do its always different. Apparently their doing very well. That's great, I love the Buena Vista area. IMO. Due to the over whelming demand for beer, this thread will never die. It may take a little break but it comes right back. God bless it...djkest wrote:I'm not sure why this thread died, but Eddyline has been putting out some great IPAs in cans lately. Crank Yanker is really solid, and Epic Day (DIPA) is exceptionally good. It's made with citra, mosaic, and simcoe hops.
Odd13's "Codename: Superfan" is a great canned IPA that I could drink a lot of.
