Sleeping in Truck at Mount Sherman Trailhead?
Is there any reason why I can't just sleep in the back of my truck overnight? I don't know what the issue could possibly be... like maybe they don't allow overnight parking? I've done Sherman 3 times already, once in the middle of the night and we parked there then without trouble. I want to take my son to do his first and figure if we can just roll in late and sleep in the truck, and get up in the morning that far up the trail that will probably ensure the highest rate of success.

I know plenty of people that have slept at the TH without issue.

Re: Sleeping in Truck at Mount Sherman Trailhead?
There are plenty of spots to truck camp along the road to Sherman, and I've slept at many of them. The only places I would avoid are near private property. The 4wd TH is on a slope, so that would not be ideal. The 2WD is in an open spot with private property in view. So either camp below on the road, and drive the couple minutes up the road, or just be discreet further up.
