I'm running from Denver International Airport to Glenwood Springs this weekend and will be going up and over the mountains via Leavenworth Creek Road/Argentine Pass Trailhead. Has anyone been up there lately/can provide any Beta on what the road and trail looks like at this point? I'm sure there will be some changes with the likely snow they received last night/today but I'm hoping it's still very doable!
Thanks!

Actually *running* that whole distance?
Snow has persisted on northern aspects above treeline in Summit County and we got some more last night and this morning.

Yep, I'll be running from DIA to Georgetown tomorrow, sleeping at a brewery in town, and then starting up Leavenworth Creek Road around 3AM on Saturday morning (coming down the other side via Argentine Pass trail).
If you were to guess, how much has the snow affected the ability to navigate the road and trail?
Thanks a ton for any insight!

It'll be slippery on northern aspects and sheltered areas. Probably more than ankle-deep in places.
Southern aspects such as what I can see of the Gore are much drier.

Re: Beta on Leavenworth Creek Road/Argentine Pass Trail
Surprisingly, I am relevant to this thread. Drove up Leavenworth Creek road towards Argentine Pass today. Not really any snow on the road to 12,000', but that is where we got stopped due to drifts in the road. After that, variable windswept snow up to 1-1.5 feet deep to the top of the pass. From there, we went to Mt. Edwards. But I can tell you the trail down Argentine Pass looked pretty drifted, and I would expect to walk in snow down to the willows on the other side. Here's a picture from Mt. Edwards looking towards Argentine Pass TH.

Just in case someone stumbles upon this in the future:
The wind and snow/ice made the back side of the pass nearly impassable - requiring kicking for foot holds and side stepping quite some distance.
