In the past on this site I was able to access a figure of the profile of the mountain and now I am unable to locate this feature.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: Profile of the route? where to find
I believe Bill replaced the static profile images with the interactive plot/map on the route pages. You could import the GPX file on Caltopo.com and view the profile. Click the expand button to view something that was similar to the static images.

Go to a route description and click the "PROFILE" tab below the route stats.Diver Mike wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2019 5:06 pm In the past on this site I was able to access a figure of the profile of the mountain and now I am unable to locate this feature.

Bill et al.,
Thanks for the information. The profile tab does not come up in my older browser on my notepad but was able to see it on a newer version of Chrome.
Thank you again,
Mike

The Profile tab gets hidden when your screen resolution is very small. Maybe you had the old browser zoomed in or somethingDiver Mike wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2019 6:57 am Bill et al.,

Re: Profile of the route? where to find
Using the link here I see tabs for route, pics, map, and Gmap, no profile. I thought you got rid of the elevation profiles as well. I don't see them for any peak. I'm using Chrome on a smart phone.BillMiddlebrook wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2019 5:52 pm Go to a route description and click the "PROFILE" tab below the route stats.

Great, just what I needed, yet another website to distract me from my responsibilities and get me daydreaming about the mountains... but seriously, cool site.shaunblair wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2019 5:26 pm I've used this in the past:

Re: Profile of the route? where to find
Following up on this thread... I too cannot find the old peak elevation profile information that was so very helpful for an old guy like me to plan his ascent. Any ideal where this old information can be found? I've got a few old ones like the attachment below, but I can't find these anymore on the peak descriptions, nor can I find that cool tool that would show my location on the map when I moved my cursor over the elevation profile. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Profile of the route? where to find
Here's one way. Pick out a route -- like this one,
https://www.14ers.com/route.php?route=elbe1
Then click on the "Google Maps" tab. On that map, is a graph icon. Clicking on that will get you a elevation profile,

Re: Profile of the route? where to find
^That's how you do it!
For 14er routes, the old "Profile" tab was integrated into the "Google Map" tab and accessed via the profile button.
