I always loved the whole idea of " who's weirder, the person going pee/poop, or the one who's watching you do it?"
The risk I took was calculated, but I'm terrible at math.

Re: Having to "go" on the trail
As a girl, when I start to feel like I gotta go, I start looking around for any kind of boulders or outcropping to tuck behind, then I always have a buddy (if I am not alone) try to keep a look out for people coming up or down. Also having a poncho or a jacket to kind of use as a sort of privacy cover is nice too. Been thinking about getting one of those "she-wee" devices though.
Also, just bring a pee rag (bandana) so the TP thing is a non issue, or at least ziplock baggies.
#1 bit of advice, before you leave timber line, pee.... regardless of if you have to or not.

Very sage advice--it can get very windy up on the ridgelines...

I don't really care about privacy. If I have to go, I'm going regardless of who's around or where.
