Sympathy for the Drummer - Why Charlie Watts Matters (Edison). 4/5 stars Would help to know drumming somewhat, but not required. Interesting stuff on the Stones and their drummer, Charlie Watts.
Running with Sherman (McDougall, who wrote Born to Run). Also 4/5 stars. I enjoyed this story of a family and friends who adopt a donkey and team up to train for and participate in the Burro race in Fairplay. McDougall spreads lots of interesting things throughout his books, including this one. Really enjoyed and am planning on seeing one of these burro races in CO this summer! Had no idea they existed and I've been going to CO most of my life.

Re: What are you reading?
I've been reading stuff by Murakami recently. Kafka on the Shore and The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle were both awesome. Killing Commendatore was good, but got a little dry at times. Not mountain-related at all, but a great escape from everyday life that blurs the line between fantasy and reality.

Just finished The Impossible Climb and now reading Alone on the Wall. It appears Alex Honnold is a better rock climber than I.

I found this to be a cheerful "Pick Me Up" sort of read.

That's a good book, and a sad story.

one of the better books I've read in quite some time.
Just finished Into Thin Air and loved it. Starting The Beach next.
