Coxcomb Climbing Partner 9/5-20

Post by SpeedWalker »

Hi!
I'm looking for a partner to climb Coxcomb Peak and Redcliff next month. I'll be in the area and am open to any day from September 5-20.

I'm planning on the standard approach into Wetterhorn Basin from the north and climbing Coxcomb's southwest chimney. I would prefer to rope up here, but could be talked into soloing it. I would then rap into the notch towards the summit, then rap off the summit to reach Redcliff.

I have alpine climbing experience and can lead easy 5th class trad, but I don't own any trad gear. I do have one 60m rope of the two needed to rap from the summit.

I'm a fast hiker and will be well-acclimated, but I'm happy to take things slower if needed. I have a lot of experience scrambling and routefinding in complex terrain, having finished the centennials, lower 48 14ers, and lots of other 13k+ peaks. I'm also tentatively interested in attempting Peak Fifteen in that timeframe if that's on your radar.

Send me a message if you're interested!
