I'm planning on hiking Longs Peak Keyhole Route sometime between Aug 29 and Sept 6 (Weather and schedule permitting) looking for others to join or to join another group.
Meet at the trail head and start midnight or 1am at the latest as I want plenty of time on the decent.
I'm an adventurous active 50+ years old and hike at a steady pace, planning 7hrs up and 7hrs down for comfort.
Thanks

Re: LONGS PEAK HIKE 8/29-9/6 2024 SEEKING PARTNERS
I may be interested. I have Sept 3rd and 4th free, weather dependent obviously.
33 y/0 male, I've done 21, many of them solo, but all have been class 1 or 2 so I'm looking for partner/team as I move into class 3!
I would say my times are typically above-average or at least average.
For reference, Missouri took me 3.5 hours up, 2 hours down, a couple weeks ago.
And Harvard, last week, took me 3.5 up, 3 down.
Will reach out as we get closer if weather looks promising. John

Hello John
Sounds good. Let's keep in touch regarding Weather and schedule. I would be driving up from Arvada that afternoon, and hopefully chill at the campground until hike departure.
Thanks

I'd be up for this - can do 9/3 or 9/4 too. Definitely want to avoid the holiday weekend crowds - rockfall in the trough is no joke. Did the keyhole route solo in mixed conditions a couple years ago, been wanting to go back and do it dry. For pace, took 14h c2c - 4h to keyhole, 7h to summit. PM me closer to the date if you're going for it.

I’m wanting to do Longs Friday 8/30. My hiking partner had to back out. This will be my 10th 14er but I’m not fast. I did Harvard 3 weeks ago and it took 11hrs round trip.
