Since everyone thinks finishers are snobby elitists, I think it would be hilarious to have a snobby elitist ball where we dress up and pretend to be as elitist as everyone assumes we are.

It only took 38 years, but I finally finished this year! As Crowbar would say "Oh what a feeling!" Doing Capitol and Pyramid at 63 years of age was a special treat. Bought a knee replacement for 9/24/26 so will not be doing any summit finisher jigs see you there!

I would go to any event that didn't allow ABC "finishers". .

There are many clubs/organizations/events where there are certain criteria for membership. Getting offended by it is far dumber than however dumb YOU think the criteria are. I think being a Finisher is a cool club to be in.
Didn't hear about or go to last year's event. I'd probably go I'd the schedule worked for me to see how it was. I doubt it's like the whiners in this thread seem to imply; a bunch of people standing around breaking their arms patting themselves on the back and congratulating each other. That would be a pretty lame affair. But that's not the sense I've gotten from any of the many finishers I know. We've just got a bunch of shared stories and experiences, and when we get together we share them. Are we better than someone who's done the Front Range class 2's? Of course not. But they don't have the same stories. So I could see the appeal of having a get together of people who've shared an experience.
All that said, I haven't looked at the actual criteria yet, and if I couldn't bring my significant other who hasn't finished I probably wouldn't go.
Also I've got 9 peaks left to finish my Centennials (my list has 103 peaks because I'm doing both pre and post lidar peaks because I'm not a little ----- who's going to skip Teakettle and Dallas because the nerds with the satellites let them off the hook. Then I'll be in that club too. So until then maybe none of what I posted matters
