Just one sock and bare feet in classic manly Nordic bindings:

As if none of us have ever come back with a cool, quasi-epic story instead of being victim to tragic rockfall, a fatal stumble, a heart attack, an embolism, a lightning strike, a bear attack, collapsing cornice, some psycho with an axe, a falling tree, carbon monoxide, even falling asleep at the wheel getting to a mountain. If you can't accept the fact that sometimes "s**t happens", then you live with the illusion that your epic genius and profound wilderness intelligence has put you in total and complete control of yourself, your partners, and the mountain. How mystified you'll be when "s**t happens" to you! - FM

Bill wants three socks, obviously. And Justin wants on the list.

Thank you for posting this, Marsters, I haven't accidentally laughed out loud at work in a minute.

Edit: also, just for historical accuracy, back in 2014, katbiette was actively spreading the word to work toward a coed nude calendar fundraiser for CFI. It didn't end up happening...
"The love of wilderness is more than a hunger for what is always beyond reach; it is also an expression of loyalty to the earth, the earth which bore us and sustains us, the only home we shall ever know, the only paradise we ever need – if only we had the eyes to see." -Ed Abbey

"I get scared sometimes—lots of times—but it's not bad. You know? I feel close to myself. When I'm out there at night, I feel close to my own body, I can feel my blood moving, my skin and my fingernails, everything, it's like I'm full of electricity and I'm glowing in the dark—I'm on fire almost—I'm burning away into nothing—but it doesn't matter because I know exactly who I am." from The Things They Carried

All interesting ideas, though I am wondering how many on this forum would want a copy. Or are you planning to market it on some hiking singles pages to attract the ladies?

Now we wait, I guess =D>

Um, gosh there's just so many single hiker pages. Which, um: which ones specially should we market to?

Just out of curiosity.

Internets dating sites? Specific ones? That’s a subject for someone younger than me. The Mongoose mentioned a bunch of sites, but I don’t remember all of them. If a guy can’t chase me down on skis, I don’t meet them!

I've never met you, but I think we'd get along just fine. Nice one. :-D
