Men of 14ers 2020 Calendar

Post by Monster5 »

Hey Men -

With 2019 wrapping up, we should put some thought into compiling a 2020 Men of 14ers Calendar. You know. Bearded sweaty forum members seductively drinking from a camel back hose. Or perhaps hiking poles and limbs splayed amidst a sea of talus. That kind of thing. Donate the proceeds to CFI.

And I don't mean to exclude women on this - I'm just not certain we have enough active female forum members to fill out all 12 months.

Some nominations (all shirtless of course):
-Ryguy carrying a HEAVY load, if you know what I mean. No, not backpack.
-Bill Middlebrook ripping down the Cord. Wearing skis. Just skis.
-Fireonthemountain riding his fixie amidst a (hazy) Sawatch backdrop
-Tallgrass riding his motorcycle up Camp Bird Road, ice ax secured with the top-of-the-line specialized ice ax carrying toggles
-Piper14er writing poetic verse sitting in a field of flowers on Handies' slopes. This will appease those with a taste for the more refined gentlemen
-Eric Lee running Halo ridge with Holy Cross behind. Inov8s on display
-Scott P in a compilation piece, showing off family photos of far-off adventures to admiring young 'uns.
-DArcyS wearing heavy-soled boots on a class 1 trail, calves bulging over the tops.
-The lean and mean Jbchalk finger locking up some obscure route on the north side of Capitol

Y'all down? Post your submissions.

:-k Hmmm ... as my memory serves me, I'm pretty sure I posed this possibility on a couple of occasions when I first joined 14ers.com.

At the time, there were a couple of avatars that had a "naked" man in them ... one was a guy jogging wearing nothing but jogging shoes (view from behind) ... the other was a guy on a summit totally nude except for the climbing helmet he held over his "area".

Let's see if you get a better response than I did. :wft:

Happy trails! :-D
As if none of us have ever come back with a cool, quasi-epic story instead of being victim to tragic rockfall, a fatal stumble, a heart attack, an embolism, a lightning strike, a bear attack, collapsing cornice, some psycho with an axe, a falling tree, carbon monoxide, even falling asleep at the wheel getting to a mountain. If you can't accept the fact that sometimes "s**t happens", then you live with the illusion that your epic genius and profound wilderness intelligence has put you in total and complete control of yourself, your partners, and the mountain. How mystified you'll be when "s**t happens" to you! - FM

I'd rather see a women of 14ers calendar.

Was that fleetwood?? Dang I haven't seen him post in a long time.
I guess we have more exhibitionists in this day and age of 14ering.

I do recall one WA-based lady who posed nude (censored backside) on each 14er. The comments on her TRs were.. well.. perhaps a dark chapter in this website's history.

Mr. Monster5:

Maybe that was Fleetwood ... he had another avatar where he was actually clothed.

The gal ... her name had "Goddess" in it. She took beautiful photos on the summits. I remember one time in a trip report, she said she did the climb with her dad, and she made him go partway off the summit so she could disrobe and take her traditional summit photo.

Not sure if I should be grateful or offended I didn't get a nomination by OP...

We could definitely use a picture of the French Crevasse and the Whipsnake.

hmm.... not sure about that.... anyone paying attention could easily name 12 women who are active on this forum.
