I'll throw my name on the list! I don't check here all that often, but feel free to text to three oh three 579 7009, or PM me on TGR to username tang.
I've knocked out a few 14er skis - longs kep, torreys emperor, sneffels, plus a few others, plus get up into the indian peaks and other front range mtns a good bit.
I'd say my 14er ski remaining to-do list is Castle east face, Missouri, Elbert Box Creek, Mt Wilson Boxcar, Holy Cross (ideally convince a snowmachine friend), Sneffels Snake (climbed it, but was way runneled so we diverted the ski to down lav and around). Quite aspirational and highly condition dependent would be say Landry and Wilson NE/Coors - have studied, but... complex.
And I'd certainly be up for meeting for some mellower winter stuff in the meantime.

Re: 23/24 Ski Partners
I'm interested in skiing mountains as well. Limited backcountry ski experience but trying to make up for it with passion!

Reviving/adding to this thread
Just moved down to Lakewood after spending the last decade in Summit/Vail/Leadville. Have a truck and can drive all, Avy 1 cert, have skied your basic CO items- Cristo Colouir, Pacific, hut trips, etc. Heading down to the SJs in a few weeks for a trip.. Looking to keep things conservative through the winter with a new baby on the way. Mostly ski at Jones/Butler and Berthoud, but want to make an effort on skiing the classic Front Range lines and peaks in the spring.

I've skied a few mellower lines: Mt Wilson, Sherman, Massive, Aetna, etc. I'm trying to get out to more: Cirque, Sneffles, Elks, etc. I'm almost always down for any outing

Re: 23/24 Ski Partners
Hey everyone,
I apologize for dropping the ball on this thread as life got in the way a bit, but really hoping to revive it
The oh-so-always-accurate winter outlook doesn't look all that wonderful for most of CO, but hopefully there will be enough to get after it at some point
I'm in the Juans all winter, but willing to travel for lines for sure! I admittedly can be a bit shy, but had a somewhat confidence-building trip in the eastern sierra this past spring, which was good reminder that I can still do hard things lol.
Hoping to connect with pretty much all of you at some point in the next few months! Let's do our snow dances!! Or just break out our rock skis/snowboards for some thinner conditions

Count me in! I'm primarily a spring skier (April-May), but I love to spend a month+ in San Juans ticking off the lines when there's good coverage. There is so much potential there. My skis are 108 wide and I'm not very fast, so pretty much a snowboarder anyway... DM here or on Insta.

Re: 23/24 Ski Partners
Hey, Im in Durango...AIARE 2 l, all gear stoked on getting some mountain lines in. Also September is never too early for ski talk. What goals do you have and feel free to drop a line matt.griffith1313@gmail.com. cheers!tsizz77 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 17, 2023 10:59 am Yes, this is a ridiculously early post, but looking to keep certain goals in sight, and hoping to accomplish them with a few of you awesome ski mountaineers. I’ll try and make this short, but I already know it’s going to get a little bit long, so bear with me.
Was previously on this forum as tsizz, but as I haven’t logged in in a few years, it appears my account was deactivated so this is my new login. I’ve only ridden (I’m a splitboarder, please don’t hate) about 12 of the 14ers, but would like to ride as many as possible. To do them all has been a goal for quite some time. I lived in Silverton for over a decade up until recently (all that Covid money came in and priced me out of there lol), so now living in Pagosa Springs. Rode many a line both solo and with awesome partners, for which I will always be grateful.
Anyone else out there looking for partners and/or are willing to let someone join their group from time to time? I’ve done many of them solo, so I don’t have an issue with that, but would definitely prefer partners on some of the more exposed Technical adventures.Admittedly, a consistent partner or group of partners is obviously ideal, but I’ll take what I can get as I’m looking to have some fun in the backcountry with other folks, and also be held accountable for showing up and doing my part, as I haven’t been the best self-starter in the past couple of years
While technically proficient, I’m not the fastest on the skin track, but hopefully I can keep up
In this world of cruel and snarky remarks, please keep them to yourselves, I’m just looking for some people who are psyched to experience the fun and beauty of the mountains…oh, and schralp the gnar too of course![]()
