some lofty goals again... but here we go! 2025: the year of stephanie

1. finish the 14ers
2. finally make it to the "what?" range
3. start a grid project
4. attend the spring gathering and the fall gathering
5. get archer into the high country once a month
BONUS. bring my spin rod on hikes this year

○ vague goal: after finishing my AIARE1, spend more time on my skis than my snowshoes in the backcountry
○ probably out of reach goal: R2R2R trip

1. Finally finish my f---ing podcast (or at least get it caught up to the present day)
2. Get through at least the first draft of one of my other creative ideas, esp. after I'm done writing new material for the above
3. More skiing
--3a. In particular, a ski descent of Mt. Elbert, which I have attempted to ski twice now and (perhaps obviously) been foiled both times
4. Keep working physical therapy exercises on my bum foot. 100% restoration of pre-accident functionality is a physical impossibility, but more pain-free days and being able to sustain longer hikes/AT routes without wanting to use an ice axe to saw it off seem within the realm of possibility
5. Hike at least one section of the CO Trail and/or CDT
6. Explore more NPs including but also outside of Rocky Mountain (which is fantastic but is also The One That Just So Happens to Be Nearby...I know, I know, #firstworldproblems)
7. Rethink some of my longterm mountain-related goals. I still want to get around to Kings Peak at some point so I'll have finished out the Four Corners states' high points and Rainier to round out the 14k' state HPs (also because the idea of maybe skiing at least part of it intrigues me), but I'm becoming increasingly sure I just plain don't want to do Gannett, Granite, Borah, Boundary, or Denali, not to mention all the lower-elevation ones with private property issues, so maybe, as with the CO peaks, I should keep my focus to ones I think I might enjoy
8. Try to stay flexible enough to roll with the punches (already had a few in the past few weeks that will have repercussions in some form or another going forward)
9. Continue my post-fourteener project of rediscovering my love for hiking and generally spending time in the mountains

1. Denali
2. Finish last 2 of top 110 (all of the 13,800ers) - Pigeon & Trinity (grudge matches!)
3. Finish last unranked 14er - Pin Point (and help some friends bag the Wilson group in the process)
4. More State HPs and CA 14ers
5. Fun scrambles with friends
and......drink alot of good beer, laugh and live life to the fullest!

1. Mount Vinson (January)- Done!
2. Finish Centennials (5 left)
3. Mont Blanc + Dom (+ other Pennine summit?) (Sept) vs Shasta + Lassen or Gannett- Guided our boys up the Allalinhorn with a nice view of the Matterhorn.

We'll see about #3 depending on fall work commitments.
