Hey all,
Looking for any recommendations/suggestions you may have for good camping around the Uncompahgre/Handies/Redcloud Group area. Thanks in advance!

Re: Camping in the San Juans
There is plenty of camping at the Handies/Redcloud TH. On the Handies side of the road, down by the creek there are great spots among the willows we have spent a lot of fun times.
We also have camped near the Unc TH but those are more dispersed as I recall and less immediate to the start of your hike.

Re: Camping in the San Juans
Are you talking about car camping or backpacking? If you mean car camping, there's a wonderful meadow near the 2 wheel drive trailhead for Matterhorn Creek (standard route for Wetterhorn, but can also access Unc). At the two wheel drive trailhead, the road splits. Right is the 4wd road to the upper trailhead. Left about 200 feet takes you to the meadow, which has convenient water access too. One of my favorite car camping spots.

Decent camping at the unc trailhead too if your car can get up there.

For Unc, if we can't drive all the way to the 4WD TH (the 5/5 update makes it sound like there's debris across the road in multiple places), are there obvious spots for dispersed camping along Nellie Creek Rd or are we better off camping along Henson Rd and then driving up Nellie Creek in the morning?

Also interested in this. The wife and I plan to car camp early July.

Thanks for the input, thus far! Sorry, I should've specified that we'll be car/tent camping.
