Adventure Biking to Trail Heads
Anyone else accessing some trails via motorcycle? I picked up a Triumph Tiger 800 partly for getting up some of the rough road. Not sure how capable it actually is, has anyone tried Antero on a bike larger than a 650?

I ain't never seen 'em, but my common sense tells me the Andes is foothills, and the Alps is for children to climb! These here is God's finest sculpturing's! There ain't no laws for the brave ones! And there ain't no asylums for the crazy ones! And there ain't no churches, except for this right here! And there ain't no priests excepting the birds. By God, I are a mountain man, and I'll live 'til an arrow or a bullet finds me. And then I'll leave my bones on this great map of the magnificent...

Yes! I mean NO! Not bigger than a 650. I use to use a klr, but I sold it and now use a xr650l. Loads of fun!
Edit! I mean NO! Not bigger than a 650. Never had one bigger. I saw a once in a blue moon post about a bike and got excited!](./images/smilies/eusa_wall.gif)

Nice! I know there are others out there, come forth and let's talk bikes and 14ers. I'm going to take a long road trip in Sept to Lake City and climb Handies, Red Cloud, and Sunshine. Maybe see if I can get past the creek on Antero as well on the way back.

Re: Adventure Biking to Trail Heads
For some local hikes that I do along the Front Range (IPW, JPW, RMNP) I sometimes ride the moto. But I tend not to take it when doing longer day hikes/climbs outside the Front Range just because I’m usually tired after and I don’t feel like I would have all the mental/physical awareness I need to ride safely. I might plan a weekend trip sometime where I stay overnight after a climb though.

There is a guy from Kansas City who rode a motorcycle to a lot of trailheads. But he got banned.

Looks like you did too, Sean?? What's up with the new name and post count of 7?
What did you do to upset the boss man?
I'm waiting to get 86ed myself, actually.
In an effort to try to contribute something to this thread, do you know about this site? https://www.trailsoffroad.com/ I signed up for it in hopes it would give me more info about roads I might want to mountain bike up.
