So I recently got a iPhone XR to replace my iPhone 7.
In the past, I have used Hyperlapse to record timelapse movies of sunsets and sunrises.
Afetr my first backpacking trip to test it out, I discovered that my iPhone 7 seemed to take much better Hyperlapse movies of sunsets/sunrises than the XR does. The XR over exposes the red areas, so the sun was more of a blob than the detailed red graduations of the 7.
I know you can touch the screen to adjust the exposure in Hyperlapse, so know how to adjust that to account for the changing light of sunset/sunrise.
I plan on trying the camera's timelapse function (unfortunately, not as adjustable as Hyperlapse) and doing some still photos the next time to see if it's due to the different hardware, or Hyperlapse doesn't work as well on the XR.
Or any suggestions to get better sunset/sunrise pictures/movies from the XR?
I use my Sony HX-90V to take still photos and panoramas of sunsets/sunrise while my iPhone is taking the time lapse movies. Those have come out pretty well.
