I'm planning on climbing Mt. Elbert over the July 4th weekend and wanted more advice on what to expect.
Both Reddit and 14ers has suggested there is snow but I'm more concerned about the thigh level deep snow
the last bit of the climb and on the top. Should I still expect there to be that much snow in 2 weeks from now?
If so, what type of gear would I be needing?

See PEAK CONDITIONS tab...
Elbert, unlike some of the other peaks (see Juans, San), has been already visited.

Re: Advice for Mt. Elbert July 4th weekend
I did this via the SE ridge and it's a cakewalk.
Saw people at the top in tennis shoes, one guy in a Carthartt camo duck hunting overall getup. That was a first.
I wouldn't worry too much, bring plenty of water and snacks, and some sort of outer shell for the wind at the top. I hiked in just a baselayer most of the time, throwing a hardshell on around 13,500, and a puffy over that while we sat at the summit. I used snowshoes above 13,500 but only because I brought them - not necessary otherwise.
Enjoy!

Re: Advice for Mt. Elbert July 4th weekend
We just hiked Elbert Saturday the 29th via the standard route. Snow is essentially a non-issue at this point. Prepare for summer conditions and bring your snacks and plenty of water. If you're in decent shape and used to the elevation, you should be just fine.
