July 10-Aug 9

Post by Zappafanatic »

Ex Coloradan here returning to try to knock out a lot (for me) of peaks this summer and looking for some possible partners for more difficult or overnight treks.

About me: good shape, good endurance, but not the fastest uphill…but not “slow” I think! I have a 4x4 with a diy sleeping setup in the back and a little bit of backpacking experience along with easy front range 14ers under the belt.

I’m coming out July 15 or possibly as early as the 10th if I find partners that are willing to do a weekend overnighter to get away from crowds.
July 15-22 I’m open to any class 3 or lower, single or multi day trips.
July 24-26 I’m doing decalibron and possibly 1 more near that area (I’m in Dillon for Tuesday concert)
July 29-Aug 9 open to class 3 or lower single or multi day trips again.

I have 1 friend joining for a few peaks for my first batch and have reached out to a few posters on this forum, hoping to group up here and there with people with similar intentions.

Feel free to email me or respond here.

Thanks and good luck,

Steve

Are you doing anything 7/20 or 7/21?

A friend and I are doing Belford/Oxford Sat the 20th. We will get a pretty early start and I would say we are average speed.

How early are you starting?

I’m about average speed too and that’s doable drive from COS (where I’m staying until 7/22). If you don’t mind another person tagging along that might work.

Let me know if you’re cool with that but no worries if not, thanks!
