Pyramid and/or Bells Over Labor Day Weekend (8/31 - 9/2)

Post by b_moar »

Hey, all.

Is anyone planning on climbing Pyramid or the Bells over Labor Day weekend? I have a midnight to midnight parking permit for 9/1 and 9/2, and a Crater Lake camping permit for up to four people 9/1-9/2. If anyone has plans around this area, I'd be interested in grouping up for some of these more difficult peaks!

I'm at 43 unique peaks so far and am comfortable on class 3/4 terrain. I hike at a moderate pace, and would be more comfortable with others for route finding on the harder Elks. I live in the Denver area and wouldn't mind carpooling or convoying out to Aspen for a long weekend trip. Hit me up if you're planning something similar and wouldn't mind some additional company to your crew!

Cheers!

P.S.: I'd also be interested in doing other difficult peaks that weekend like Capitol, El Diente/Wilson, Crestones, etc. if the weather is looking better in other areas of the state.

Update: I was able to secure a parking permit for 9/1 also so tentatively I would be able to bring 3 others in on 9/1, camp, climb on 9/2 and come back with parking still valid.
