(20MAR) Larimer / Weld County HH (+Goodbye 12ers?)

Post by Eli Watson »

Hey all!

Please join us on Thursday, March 20th at DC Oakes Brewhouse for a Larimer / Weld County Happy Hour. While not quite as tasty as the nearby Timnath Beerwerks, DC Oakes does have extensive food options available and it is open later.

DC Oakes Brewhouse
3581 E Harmony Rd #110, Fort Collins, CO 80528
6 PM - ???
Thursday, March 20th

If he is able to attend, this gathering will unfortunately serve a dual-purpose in wishing our beloved 12ersRule all the best as he relocates from Northern Colorado (he may be irritated that I mentioned this, but I want all of you to crawl out of the woodwork to attend ). So come on out, grab a beer, share your favorite stories of stomping around the foothills of Larimer County, RMNP, or the IPW, talk trash on the 49ers, regale us with your stories of whatever last snowflake you were able to sneak in before the 4:01 AM equinox, whatever!

Ah, damn... can't make it, but this is sad! Hope you'll stick around here and on LoJ (and other places) though. You're one of the original crew, "12ers." And most of the other original folks are playing pickleball now or some s**t.

Good luck with the move Dave! Enjoy those high Appalachians! The bushwhacks there are thick and scrubby too! And cross train with some pickleball.

Enjoy the boiled peanuts 🥜. Best with Tabasco. Can't get them at Lucky Joe's.

Thanks for setting this up, Eli. Was great to see everyone! Thanks for the 49ers-Cardinals stub from Stadium Azteca, great memories!

Thank you Tallgrass for the Sam the Eagle 1st edition stamp! He's definitely always been one of my heroes, as you can tell by my avatar.

Ricky, great memories of the Canyonlands trip! We'll have to do it again sometime, or something else Utah-y.

Cougar, haven't had a good boiled peanut yet, they taste like school cafeteria peas to me.

Cedica, a little too late for getting out while I'm young.

Luke, pickleball would be a great idea if I were more coordinated. We did look at some community that did have all these pickleball courts, but it was one road in, one road out and figure it'd take way too long to get to the
Smokies if we lived there.

Susan, yeah, I'll be sticking around here living vicariously through all your high peak adventures and possibly all your concerts if the only offerings out there are country. Need to come back to finish up the Top 100 Prominence in CO and P5ks in the contiguous 48.

XterraBob, I'm sure I'll see you in an xterra or mini-van sometime. Or a gathering.
