Hi there! I solo'd the freeway on the second flatiron a couple of weeks ago, it was fabulous and well within my abilities. I feel like it could be the perfect route for my wife, who is pretty hard core but can sometimes run out of juice and/or motivation on long approaches. She has solo'd kelso ridge, climbed crestone peak with me dealing with some snowfields along the way, and she did Lone Eagle with me via Solo Flight, although she was sketched by some of the downclimbing and I provided my shoulder as aid in a couple of spots. Nevertheless she's got about the same level of climbing skill as me, just not quite as much Mountaineering creds.
I suspect she would be fine soloing this route, and she thinks so too; however it's possible that she could get sketched, and tbh I might get more sketched over her safety than she does. Also I've acquired some experience with TR belaying, anchors, rappelling etc. including a CMC anchors course a few years ago, but I've been looking for an opportunity to get experience with multi-pitch anchor building / belaying and maybe placing protection. So I'm thinking I would like to go with a guide with a lot of flexibility to run up the route with us, create some teaching opportunities, and be prepared to protect the climb far more comfortably than I could if it comes to it. We're happy to hire someone but would also be perfectly happy finding an informal companion with similarly abilities, experience and patience, if it sounds like a fun day to you (:
