Hey all! I know its probably really late to ski, but just wondering if anyone has beta on peaks that are still skiable?
Im looking at Missouri, La Plata, Grays or Torreys, Massive and or Belford, and wondering if anyone thinks that they are still skiable.
Looking to ski 1 or 2 more 14ers this week or 13ers.
Or... if anyone still has beta on any 13ers that are still skiable, preferrably in the front or sawatch range that would be awesome.
Thanks guys!

My daughter and I skied Grays yesterday (sunday June 29) - after hiking Torreys then Grays.
Definitely skiable. The snowfield below grays starts a few hundred feet below the summit and is continuous four about 1500 feet. We had good weather and waited until about 9AM to ski. Any earlier would've been too firm to be fun. Waiting another 30 minutes probably would've been even better. The first 1200 feet were fun spring skiing. Definitely some sun-cupping and runnels, so not super smooth, but really fun for June-end. The last 300 feet were sun-cupped survival skiing, but still, it's skiing right!
The couloirs right off of Torreys looked pretty beat up - some debris and generally messy looking, so we didn't really consider them.
Some pictures from yesterday:
We skied this red line:

That above picture is a bit of a strange angle, this is from further back, same line:

This is just above the narrowest section. You can see the surface of the snow pretty well here.

The narrow part is still very skiable - a little thin (watch for rocks), but still good for another few weeks I'd guess.
Looking back up the line at Gray's summit

The bottom is all suncups! And still mostly frozen around 9:30 given they get a little less sun down there.

Hey! Thanks for this info. Did you hike up the normal route with skis to the summits, or did you crampon/boot up the couloirs?pajryan wrote: ↑Mon Jun 30, 2025 12:14 pm My daughter and I skied Grays yesterday (sunday June 29) - after hiking Torreys then Grays.

We just took the normal route to the saddle between Grays and Torreys. The snowfield you have to cross was pretty firm, but had a deep trench, so easily passable in just hiking shoes. It wouldn't be a great place to fall given the firm snow at ~7AM.. so spikes might be nice, but the footing was good.Hey! Thanks for this info. We went to the saddle between the peaks, dropped our skis and hiked up Torreys. Then we came back down, grabbed our skies and went up to the highest point of the snowfield on Grays. We dropped our skis there, continued to the top of Grays and hung out (great weather) while we let the snow soften up. We eventually went back to our skis, got the boots on and skied as far as we could. If I did it again, I think I'd repeat that exact pattern. Super fun day.
