Very Entry Level AT/BC Ski Locations?

Hi everyone,
I know that this is a little bit last minute, but me and a friend had some time open up tomorrow and I'm looking for some advice and good place off of the Denver to Longmont corridor that might be a good place for two very inexperienced skiers to cut their teeth.

For reference, I have an AT setup that I am learning to use and I'll be loaning my friend some fat NNN BC skis. His are waxless but he won't have skins. I had a very good time around the Brainard Lake recreation area parking lot last winter, and was able to get just enough speed to try to get comfortable.

Are there any similar areas that are, perhaps, closer which might offer similar terrain? Even if it's slightly more gentle, that would be fine, too.

good skiing off peak to peak is pretty sparse, for the front range jones pass, berthoud pass, cameron pass are most popular. rmnp is also an option

May be late to the party, but Caribou Hill is a great entry level spot.

For the Springs; I went up Gold Camp Road from Seven Bridges TH this morning with my AT setup. Was really nice on the ascent, but by 8 AM the snow was pretty warm and that former RR bed doesn't have much gain so not much glide going down. Will have to do High Drive after the next big dump...

Late as well, but for next time perhaps I had a decent first time skinning up and skiing down the Left hand reservoir road near the winter Brainard lot, not sure how filled it is at this point. Berthoud pass, St. Mary's, road up to G&T, and heading up to treeline above the willows on Bierstadt also easy and helpful places for me. Once the season's over at Eldora & other resorts in the spring you should have the whole park wide open to yourself too while there's still snow
