Mr. Whitaker lived an incredible and long life. This was a life well-lived. May his family find peace during this time.

Re: RIP Jim Whittaker
Big Jim was an icon of American mountaineering who always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. He's been one of my mountaineering heroes since I was a young boy. Two of his quotations that are among my favorites are: "If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room", and "When you live on the edge, you can see a little farther". My condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace forever, and may his memory always be a blessing.

Re: RIP Jim Whittaker
Definitely a legend. Also very lucky to have climbed "on the edge" for so long and still lived to a peaceful death at age 97.

May God bring comfort to his family and friends.

Re: RIP Jim Whittaker
A life lived well and long! Inspirational.
I have phenomenal route-finding abilities. Specifically, I have an uncanny knack for selecting the path of most resistance.
