I did Shavano a couple years ago. The new Lower CFI trail was a dream, but the upper slopes was an unpleasant, eroded mess.
I’m seeing Strava Heatmap activity on the new CFI upper trail, but websites haven’t indicated that the new trail is open for business. Does anyone have a status update? Thanks!

Upper section seemed about half complete. What is complete is open for use. The area near the top above the saddle/ridge is still in progress; they were working on it yesterday. Route is flagged to the top.
