Congratulations to Jay Tizzle (JT McGrath) on finishing the 14er list in style, with separate climbs of Crestone / E Crestone on Saturday 6/13, and a foggy drizzly climb of Crestone Needle today on the 14th.
I met him on an Antero hike back in 2021 and he’s become a good friend since then. Just shows that it’s possible to meet cool people on the trail. In addition to that summit, we did the Eolus pair together but the most memorable will forever be epic day climb of Maroon Peak back in October 2024.
JT started the 14er journey with Mt. Elbert on 7/9/16, so he was able to complete the checklist in just under 10 years.

Congrats Jay. Big accomplishment!
The summit is a source of power. The long view gives one knowledge and time to prepare. The summit, by virtue of the dizzying exposure, leaves one vulnerable. A bit of confidence and a dash of humility is all we get for our work. Yet to share these moments with friends is to be human. C. Anker
