Holy Cross: Cross visible?

I haven't been to the area in a while but I was wondering if - this late in the season after such a dry winter - the cross is still visible from the Halo Ridge route? I have someone who would really love to see it but we can't get out there until Aug 15th or so and I'm guessing it's all melted and maybe we should wait til next year

It was nearly all the way gone on 7/11 from my vantage point on Jacque Peak (Copper Mountain).

I was on that route on 7/9. Only a bit of snow left on the top section of the Cross Couloir.

Well maybe someone spray painted the cross for better visibility. Ya never know, you could be missing out.

Doesn't much matter how snowy a year we have. Mid August is not the time to go to see the cross. Try June.

Agreed just for OPs knowledge, the road doesn't open until June 21st (excluding this historic year)
